USANA Australia is excited to announce that Perth cyclist
Sarah Duffield has joined her sisters, triathletes Michelle and Katy Duffield,
on Team USANA.
Sarah began her athlete career as a triathlete back in 2011.
In 2012 she finished in the top ten in the World Championship Age Group Sprint
triathlon and in 2014 Sarah pushed her boundaries and finished top three in the
Australian National Sprint Distance Championships.
Sarah associated herself with Exceed Triathlon Club whom are
renowned as the Elite Triathlon Club in WA. During her time with Exceed, she
successfully qualified for and represented Australia in New Zealand at the
Sprint Distance Age Group World Championships.
After some time competing in triathlons Sarah began to focus
more on the bike leg as this is where she felt she had an advantage over her
competitors.
Following a winter of pure cycling only, Sarah decided to
make the transition into female specific cycling where she began racing locally
and has now progressed through the ranks and is racing on the national racing
circuit.
Sarah has recently been selected for a European based
cycling team and will race for a period of three month in a number of European
countries.
Sarah said she is “absolutely delighted” to be joining Team
USANA.
“It's gives me great confidence going to Europe knowing that
I've got a wealth of knowledge and experience behind me to ensure I can
continue to push the boundaries as a cyclist in both training and competition”.
USANA Australia is excited have Sarah on board and wishes
her luck in all her upcoming events.
