USANA Australia is excited to announce that Aussie swimmer
Josh Beaver has joined the Team USANA Athlete team.
Since starting his sponsorship with USANA Josh has already
become fond of the
HealthPak and
BiOmega, as well as the protein snacks and
Nutrimeal.
He said “the convenience of having vitamin packs readily
available, make it very easy to organise my nutritional needs”.
“They allow me to stay healthy and give me a balance in
nutritional needs, knowing I am taking great products from USANA to look after
my health,” Josh said.
Josh is a member of the Victorian Institute of Sport and is
currently training nine sessions per week with Nurawading Swimming Club and
races in the 100 and 200 metre backstroke.
Josh began swimming when he was just six-months-old, after
being diagnosed with asthma. He did swimming lessons with the YCMA before
joining his first swimming club, Cranbourne Tigersharks at the age of 9. It was
here he fell in love with swimming and being in a squad environment.
Josh was heavily involved in swimming through his schooling
years and was given many opportunities to explore a professional pathway. He
took the opportunities and followed a pathway to professionalism. He trained
with the Tigersharks for 12 years before moving onto Nunawading Swimming Club.
His first senior Australia Team was the 2014 Glasgow
Commonwealth Games where he had a breakout meet and claimed silver in the 200m
backstroke, and was part of a 1,2,3 finish for Australia. He also won silver as
a member of the 4x100 medley relay and bronze in the 100m backstroke. Currently he is the world 7th in the 200m backstroke and 13th in the 100m backstroke.
Being a professional athlete takes persistence and willpower, and Josh has exercised these abilities as he maintains his rank of 2nd in 200m backstroke and 3rd in 300m backstroke within Australia.
Josh recently competed at the World Swimming Championships held in August 2015 in Russia and is now determined to medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games – USANA Australia wishes Josh the best of luck!
